The Prisma Electronics AirPro Densimeter is a professional measuring instrument designed for accurate engine tuning on both two-stroke and four-stroke engines. It measures the key atmospheric parameters that directly influence combustion, carburetion, and engine performance: temperature, barometric pressure, relative humidity, altitude, and air density.
In motorsport, air density is a critical parameter because it determines the amount of oxygen available for combustion. As temperature, pressure, and humidity change, the air/fuel ratio changes as well, directly affecting power output, throttle response, and engine reliability. The AirPro helps tuners adjust carburetion according to real-time environmental conditions for optimal performance from session to session.
The instrument displays barometric pressure, relative humidity, air density, relative air density, and density altitude. Relative air density gives a direct indication of air mass variation, allowing accurate correction of fuel mixture and engine tuning parameters.
The AirPro can store up to 50 sessions directly in the instrument. Through the Prisma Electronics App, all stored sessions can be downloaded, analyzed, shared, and exported as PDF or Excel files. Sessions can also be linked to the track where the measurements were taken, and notes such as “Carburetor Tuning #1” can be added for better setup tracking.
