The IAME R125Z is the brand-new gearbox engine introduced in 2026 for the demanding KZ and KZ2 karting classes. Developed for maximum racing performance, the engine delivers strong acceleration, precise throttle response and high reliability under competitive conditions.
CIK-FIA homologated (040-EZ-10), the R125Z benefits from the extensive experience gained in international competitions with the Screamer VI engine. This knowledge has been incorporated into a newly designed crankcase that is lighter and more compact, improving both weight distribution and chassis integration.
The R125Z also features innovative cylinder concepts and several performance solutions developed directly by the IAME Race Department. These technologies provide efficient combustion, a wide power band and strong performance, setting a new benchmark in the KZ category.
