Xeramic 4-Stroke Kart Break-In Oil is a specially formulated engine oil developed for the break-in of new or freshly rebuilt 4-stroke kart engines.
The formulation is designed to promote correct bedding between the piston rings and cylinder wall. Its purpose is to help new piston rings seat quickly and effectively, supporting optimum sealing, strong compression and reduced blow-by.
Unlike many conventional engine oils, this break-in oil contains no friction modifiers. This is intentional, as a controlled level of friction during the break-in process helps the piston rings correctly conform to the cylinder wall.
At the same time, excellent oil-film strength and anti-wear additives help protect camshafts, bearings and other critical moving components during the sensitive engine break-in phase.
Once the engine has been correctly broken in, the Break-In Oil should be replaced with the normal operating oil, such as Xeramic 4-Stroke High Performance Kart Racing Oil.
Compatibility:
Developed for new and freshly rebuilt 4-stroke kart engines, including engines used in rental karting and other 4-stroke kart applications. Always follow the engine manufacturer's break-in procedure and oil requirements.
Application / Position:
Used as engine oil during the initial break-in period following a new engine build, cylinder honing, piston replacement or installation of new piston rings.

Installation:
Fill the engine with the quantity specified by the engine manufacturer and carry out the prescribed break-in procedure.
Xeramic states that the break-in period should not exceed 1,000 km. For kart engines, the engine manufacturer's own service and break-in intervals should always take priority.
After the break-in period, drain the Break-In Oil and refill the engine with the normal operating lubricant.
