This Pulse Ignition Checker (PET-4000-style) is a professional tool for testing spark output and ignition coil function on kart engines. With an adjustable spark gap, it allows precise diagnosis of ignition performance without removing the stator or flywheel.
Compatibility:
Suitable for most 2-stroke and 4-stroke kart engines with external ignition systems.
Application / Position:
Used for diagnosing ignition faults. The unit connects via three leads and enables spark testing at an adjustable gap setting (typically 6 mm).
Material & Construction:
Durable housing with flexible leads and an adjustable spark gap. Built to withstand workshop and racing environments.
Installation / Use:
– Connect the three leads according to the wiring diagram
– Set the spark gap (e.g. 6 mm)
– Start the engine or rotate the crankshaft manually
– Observe whether the spark jumps consistently across the electrodes
– If no spark is visible, inspect coil, stator, wiring and connectors
