NGK GR9DI-8 – Original Rotax Racing Spark Plug
The NGK GR9DI-8 is a genuine Rotax-approved spark plug, purpose-built for Max EVO and DD2 EVO engines.
It’s the standard choice for racing in normal to warm conditions, typically between 15–30 °C
 
Recommended Use:
Ideal for training and racing in warm or stable weather, delivering a "cooler" combustion than the GR8DI-8 to help prevent spark plug overheating during sustained high RPM.
Specifications & Features:
Thread & Reach: M14 × 1.25 mm, 19 mm reach — standard for Rotax applications
Electrode: Iridium center electrode with resistor (~5 kΩ) for stable ignition and EMI suppression
Certification: Genuine Rotax spare part, often supplied as standard with new Max EVO and DD2 EVO engines 
Heat Characteristics: Runs cooler than the GR8DI-8, making it perfect for avoiding plug overheating in warm ambient conditions
Durability & Reliability: Competition-grade construction with strong terminal connection and vibration resistance.
