Information

270 mm steering tie-rod for the steering system on 1040 karts. The tie-rod connects the steering rod ends between the steering system and spindle, making it a key component in transferring steering input to the front wheels.

This version features a gold-coloured finish and threaded ends for installation of the steering rod ends.

A particularly useful feature is the 10 mm machined flat at one end of the tie-rod. This allows a standard 10 mm spanner to securely hold the tie-rod while tightening or loosening the rod end. It makes installation and adjustment easier without having to grip the round surface of the tie-rod with other tools.

The tie-rod is also used when adjusting the kart's front-wheel toe setting. By rotating the tie-rod, the effective distance between the steering rod ends can be adjusted, allowing precise alignment of the front wheels.

Compatibility:
Suitable for 1040 karts using a steering system designed for a 270 mm tie-rod.

Always check the required length and existing tie-rod before ordering.
