IKO Top End Needle Cage designed for installation in the small end of the connecting rod between the connecting rod and piston pin. The needle cage allows the connecting rod to move freely and precisely around the piston pin with minimal friction and wear, even at the high engine speeds found in racing kart engines.

This version is manufactured in B4 tolerance class, with the needle rollers selected within a narrow range of −2 to −4 µm from their nominal diameter. Compared with B2, the B4 tolerance provides slightly more clearance and can therefore be used to precisely adjust the running clearance between the piston pin, connecting rod and needle cage.

Correct running clearance is essential for free movement and proper lubrication while helping to prevent excessive heat, noise and premature wear.

Suitable for various 100cc kart engines using a 14 mm piston pin and 18 mm connecting rod small end. Always verify dimensions and the required tolerance class for your specific engine before installation.
